you that Biju Patnaik Central Library (BPCL) of National Institute of
Technology Rourkela is organizing the “National Conference on Emerging
Trends & Techniques for Electronic Resource Management in Libraries: Issues
& Challenges” on February 13-14,
2015
in association with SLA-Asia and SLP.
This conference is the second event
under the series “Empowering Library Professionals to Empower Society
(ELPES)”. The main objectives of this conference are:
- Awareness and
importance of electronic resources;
- Familiarization
with the different ways of accessing electronic content;
- Acquaint with
the review activities associated with e-resources;
- Examine
copyright and licensing implications for scholarly communication;
- An opportunity
to develop ideas, strategies and policies for e-resource management (ERM);
- Equip
participants with skills for collection development and management of
e-resources both theoretical and practical;
- To discuss the
issues and challenges faced during ERM cycle;
- To adopt best
practices for enhancing usage of e-resources.
We request you and your colleagues to participate
and contribute a paper for this conference. And also help us to spread this
message among library & information science professionals, information
scientists, knowledge managers, students & scholars. Kindly register at the
